A picture has emerged apparently showing Russia’s Prime Minister Vladimir Putin in his former days as a KGB officer.
The 20-year old photo depicts two world leaders – US President Ronald Reagan and the Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev – in Moscow.
But, according to the man who took the photo, it also captures Mr Putin disguised as a tourist.
It’s not a big secret that the KGB had always put operatives near world leaders. These operatives were more than just spies, they actually engaged these world leaders in asking seemingly “pointed” questions such as one that was asked of President Ronald Reagan, which was on the “state of human rights in the United States”. A strange “pointed” question to be asked seeing how the US has one of the best human rights stances in the world. It would be unclear to me as to what the KGB was trying to accomplish by asking such a question that weighs so heavy AGAINST Russia.
